Ryley is a sweet and precious little 7-month-old baby girl. She is the firstborn, and her mother calls her, “daddy’s little girl.”
When Ryley was born, she was not breathing so doctors rushed into medical intervention.
Ryley was placed on a breathing tube and other machines. She also experienced non-stop seizures for 3 days.
The lack of oxygen caused Ryley to have severe brain damage called, Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, or HIE.
Ryley is also diagnosed with epilepsy, diabetes insipidus, cerebral softening, and experiences neurostorming (in connection with seizures).
Doctors are also unsure at this point about her hearing and eyesight.
Ryley had a g-tube installed in August 2022.
Ryley will continue to visit doctors often and is currently enrolled in hyperbaric oxygen therapy for her epilepsy.
Ryley still has many medical unknowns, but she continues to amaze her parents with how sweet and happy she always is. She brings so much joy to her family.
Ryley will be adopted as the Sparrow to Hidden Valley High School. HVHS Students will work hard to earn money for Ryley through sponsored community service.
