Alayna is an adorable 4-month-old baby who loves to snuggle.

nAlayna was born with a congenital condition called an atrial septal defect (ASD).

nASD is a hole in the wall between the two upper chambers of the heart.

nAlayna is seeing a cardiologist and will most likely be scheduled for heart surgery.

nAlayna also has a condition called down syndrome, which has caused low muscle tone and aspiration while she eats.

nAlayna is placed on oxygen every night while she sleeps and has specific dietary needs to help her gain weight.

nDespite all the medical challenges, Alayna is such a sweet little baby and brings so much joy to her family.

nAlayna will be adopted as a Sparrow to Cascade Christian School. Cascade students will work hard to raise money for Alayna through sponsored community service.
