Arianna’s life started out with some major medical challenges. She was born in June of 2020 with water on her brain, also known as hydrocephalus.

This medical condition has caused her to have developmental delays. She is about 4 months behind on the standard milestones children typically reach as they grow.

Arianna has suffered from headaches and discomfort due to hydrocephalus. Sadly, this can make her irritable and short-tempered.

A few months before her first birthday she had to have a spinal tap done. She also had to be sedated a couple of times for MRIs before her brain surgery that took place in January 2022.

Arianna had an ultrasound on her heart and was diagnosed with a heart murmur. Her family must make numerous trips to Portland for follow-up care and MRIs.

Arianna took a long time to crawl and didn’t walk until she was 18 months old.

Arianna will be tested for autism. She is now two years old and is very smart for her age. She knows the alphabet, colors, and shapes, and can count to 20 by herself.

Arianna goes to physical therapy regularly, as well as occupational and speech therapy.

Arianna loves to ride her little bike and likes jumping on the trampoline. She really enjoys books and writing numbers and letters.

Arianna will be adopted as a Sparrow to Trinity Lutheran School. Trinity students will work hard to raise money for Arianna through sponsored community service.
