Parker is a freshman at Grants Pass High School. He loves playing sports, the trombone, and loves being with his family, especially his little brother, Ryder.
n
nParker was diagnosed with Acute Myleloid Leukemia (AML) on November 25, 2020.
n
nImmediate treatment was required, so Parker was rushed to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland.
n
nDoctors discovered that Ryder (Parker’s little brother) was a 100% match for a bone marrow transplant that Parker desperately needed.
n
nIn March 2021, both boys underwent treatment that saved Parker’s life.
n
nParker is currently in remission. He will continue to see his doctor every two weeks to ensure the cancer does not return.
n
nThis journey has forever changed Parker. Medically, he will always be monitored. However, this journey has also proven that he is a courageous fighter and it has bonded the two brothers for life.
n
nParker will be adopted as a Sparrow to Grants Pass High School. GPHS Students will work hard to raise money for Parker through sponsored community service.
